Grainveil keeps the camera direct while giving black-and-white photographers the controls that matter: tonal shape, restrained highlight bloom, precise framing, and optical character.
01 · Tone
Choose a smooth, natural tonal curve or a punchier high-contrast rendering. Add bloom from off to high for a restrained glow around bright detail.
02 · Frame
Compose in 3:4, square, 2:1, or 3:1. An optional dimmed live area shows what sits just outside the crop, while the rule-of-thirds grid keeps the frame disciplined.
03 · Depth
Grainveil uses camera-provided depth where available and a bundled on-device depth model everywhere else, then renders the background with a considered optical falloff.
